French fries, chips, pommes frites, steak fries, wedges, deep-fried potatoes, baton potatoes ..... whatever it's called, this is an extremely popular potato dish around the world. Here in Japan it's called 'furaido poteto' (フライドポテト - Fried Potatoes) so even it means a different dish elsewhere, we'll stick to that naming in this article. Fried potatoes are  eaten widely with condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise. Here are some places you can pick up tasty fried potatoes in Tokyo:

1. AND THE FRIET, Hiroo (広尾)

This shop in Hiroo uses 6 varieties of potatoes depending on what's in season, including Bintje potatoes from Belgium.  Dipping sauces comes in 10 diversified flavors:  fresh coriander, sweet chilli, black truffle and more.
