1. Ogi Sushi (扇すし)
Ogi Sushi is one of the popular belt conveyor sushi restaurants in Ueno. Most revolving sushi comes with one piece per plate, but here they come with two, although you can ask for just one if you want to try various types of sushi. This is why the eatery is relaxed and flexible to accommodate your needs.

2. Magurobito Shin-Nakamise shop (まぐろ人 新仲見世店)
Magurobito was the winner of the Best Kaitenzushi Restaurant Voted by 10 Thousand Customers. This branch attracts many overseas customers due to its location, conveniently close to tourist attractions in Asakusa.

3. Uokatsu (魚活)
Every dish served at Uokatsu is priced 150 yen so it won't come as a shocker when you get the bill. Generous portions of fresh seafood are topped on sushi rice. Side dishes like Chawan-mushi (茶碗蒸し - steamed egg soup)and Ara-ni (あら煮 - simmered fish of leftovers from slicing sashimi) are also very good.

4. Nihonkai Kototoi Shop (日本海 言問店)
Good revolving sushi are available downstairs but if you are in a large group you can make your way to the upper floor of this branch of Nihonkai Sushi and enjoy sushi as well as hot pot cuisines. Kaitenzushi starts from 88 yen per dish. Take-out service is also available.

5. Miura Misakiko Ueno Shop (三浦三崎港 上野店)
The signature dish here is Gunkan Maki (軍艦巻き), which translates as a warship roll. See the plentiful toppings? Slices of fresh sashimi are literally falling onto the plate. This is definitely worth seeing and trying.

6. Katsu Oedo Ueno shop (活 大江戸 上野2号店)
Because most customers eat and go fast at this eatery, sushi dishes served on the conveyor belt are always fresh. There are many overseas customers thanks to the location. It's close to the busy Ameyoko Market, making this place a perfect pit stop while you are sightseeing or shopping. Each dish is priced 140 yen, which makes your life easy when adding up your bill.

7. Heiroku Sushi Okachimachi Shop (平禄寿司 御徒町店)
There is always a line of customers waiting in front of this popular shop. The key to its popularity is not only the price that's affordable but also due to its unique dishes you wouldn't normally come across at other sushi restaurants.

8. Katsu Oedo Okachimachi Kitaguchi shop (活 大江戸 御徒町北口店)
This restaurant is under the same chain as #6. There are many fresh seasonal seafood so ask what's in store. There are hearty bowls of Kaisendon (海鮮丼 - rice bowl with sashimi slices) available at lunchtime.

9. Katsu Oedo Okachimachi Matsuzakaya Ekimae Ten (活 大江戸 御徒町松坂屋駅前店)
Here's another shop of Katsu Oedo clan. The menu list is so long you'd be spoilt for choice. We recommend Amaebi (甘海老), the sweet and succulent deep-water shrimp. If you can't find it on the conveyor belt, just ask a member of staff and they'll gladly serve.

10. Uoyatei Ueno Matsuzakaya shop (うおや亭 上野松坂屋店)
It's located on the basement floor of an upscale department store, so the ambience is nice and serene. We recommend Gokujyo Sanmi Set (極上三味セット), a sushi platter of three selective seafood. The price is dearer than dishes from the conveyor belt but this dish is definitely worth the money spent on.

11. Sushi Kuidokoro Tojinbo (すし喰い処 東尋坊)
This is one of the oldest kaitenzushi eateries in Ueno area. It's always packed with frequent customers. Generous thick slices of sashimi are topped on sushi so satisfaction guaranteed.

12. Heiroku Sushi Tokyo Taito Ueno Naka-dori shop (平禄寿司 東京台東上野中通り店)
Same as #7, this is another local branch of Heiroku Sushi. If you can't find what you want on the conveyor belt, ask the sushi chef. You'll be amazed how fast he prepares the dish for you. All the seafood offered are tasty but we particularly like the bluefish.
