The two public onsen facilities draw their hot springs from Owakudani and Gora. The guest rooms have also been upgraded with modern Japanese features; though somewhat compact, they still offer a comfortable space for the guests. Keep in mind that most of the rooms are not equipped with a private bath and some require shared toilets, so make sure to book according to your personal requirements. 17. Yumoto Fujiya Hotel [Hakone Yumoto]
Looking to spend an active and fun-packed vacation with the whole family? Yumoto Fujiya Hotel is situated just 3 minutes away from Hakone Yumoto Station on foot with easy access to the major sightseeing spots in the area. There is also a car rental service on the property to make it even easier to explore the area with accompanying children or seniors. In addition, there are extra amenities for rent that cater to small children such as children’s sleepwear, baby toilet seat, bath chair, etc., and on the 2nd floor of the hotel is a kid’s playroom that is stocked with books and toys.
The onsen facilities have indoor and outdoor baths that are enclosed within the forested hills so you can relax and absorb the bounties of nature with all five of your senses. A private bath is also available to guests for an extra fee.
Western, Japanese, and Japanese-Western rooms are available to the guests. Again, if you are traveling with a family, there is the option of booking the Japanese-Western family room where you can stay with your whole family (up to four people) in a spacious room with a view. The outdoor pool is open during the summer season so make sure to pack your swimsuits, too!
