"Local halal certification" is a certificate that can be obtained through the Malaysia Halal Corporation (MHC), which works to develop the halal industry in non-Muslim countries like Japan.
With the rise in number of Muslims visiting Japan, such as embassy officials, government officials, tourists, students and business people have resulted in the increased economic and cultural ex-changes between Islamic countries and Japan. It is estimated that the population of Muslims living in Japan has reached around 100,000. Nevertheless, we have heard Muslims complaining that they wish they could eat delicious Japanese beef and their children also want to eat their favorite foods, hamburger steak or hamburger only if they were Halal while they are in Japan. Our mission is to develop the Halal Industry in Japan. Our aim s to create a global “Halal Community”. Under the slogan of 'HALAL FOR ALL' we bring business opportunities and growth to the Japanese industry.
