1. A Rainbow of Meat?!

People have gone to great lengths to cheer on their favorite sports team or athlete. This yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) shop in Ponto-cho, Kyoto, decided to take it a step further by creating blue offal that can actually be eaten!

Though they originally stopped selling this menu item once the World Cup ended, popular demand eventually made them bring it back through the "Rainbow Offal" platter, pictured above. It is now a staple on their menu!

Each color actually corresponds to a specific flavor and Japanese people are tripping over themselves to discover them all! For example, yellow has a lemon flavor, green is for basil, and orange will actually taste like curry. Which ones have you tried?

2. The Cheapest Bar in Japan

Aside from free, you're probably not going to find a bar cheaper than this in all of Japan. Pay an admission fee of 500 yen and you'll be able to order alcohol at the actual cost price for 2 hours. For example, a can of Asahi Super Drywill cost 160 yen and a can of Coca-Cola will cost just 80 yen!

Their meat dishes are also incredibly cheap yet delicious. The roast beef pictured above costs 18 yen per gram and you can order starting from 100 g. For lean A5-ranked Kuroge Wagyu (a type of high-quality beef), doesn't that sound like a bargain?!

French food with French ingredients at a non-French price... is it any wonder why Japanese people are raving about this restaurant in Ikebukuro, Tokyo? If you know of any place cheaper yet equal in quality, let us know!

3. Why Yes, Alcohol is a Science!

This interesting bar located in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture, is designed to look like a science lab, complete with flasks and beakers that you can drink out of!

Though this may be a bar, you actually have to mix the cocktails yourself using the equipment provided to you. There's a lot of educational fun to be had, which is why minors and families with children occasionally visit!

Its uniqueness has not gone unnoticed. Instagrammers left and right are rushing to put on their signature white coat and get their photo taken! If you've always dreamt of becoming a scientist, maybe this bar can make it come true?

And that's that! The trends are always quickly changing, so there will always be something new from week to week. Check back in once a week and see if anything catches your eye!
