Dine on Delicious Ramen Served by the Kindest Japanese Grandma You'll Ever Meet

There's a small ramen shop hidden away in Kagoshima City that locals love, but refuse to talk about because they don't want anyone else to know how awesome it is. That's this restaurant: Horie Ramen!

The reason why this restaurant is so famous is because of the extremely kind and friendly elderly owner, who is pictured above.

(Please don't misunderstand. The ramen here is both delicious and cheap, and is another reason why people keep coming back. If you don't understand the wonders of Japanese ramen, go read the below article first!)

Just like in the Instagram video, she'll make and serve your ramen with a smile, wishing you a hearty farewell when you're done. Seeing her run the whole store alone at her age inspires people to live every day to their fullest!

Finally, a Yakiniku Restaurant for Solo Diners!

Most yakiniku places in Japan require you to eat with a group of people. Not this restaurant, however! It just opened on August 29, 2018, but it's already catching a lot of attention from solo diners all across Japan.

Now you can finally eat at your own pace and savor only the parts you really like! But before you go, check out this comprehensive guide on yakiniku in Japan. It's the most accurate and thorough guide you'll find anywhere online!

This Sake Actually Tastes Like a Famous Japanese Sweet!

This sake (Japanese rice wine) was made to taste exactly like momiji manju, an iconic Hiroshima souvenir and sweet that consists of sweet red bean paste inside a maple leaf-shaped castella (Japanese sponge cake).

Here's what actual momiji manju looks like!

According to online reviews, this sake actually does taste exactly like it. Since it's so sweet, you can also mix it with milk or drizzle it over shaved ice for a splendid summer treat!

The company that made this was so successful that they ended up releasing several more flavors: red bean paste, chocolate, and matcha (powdered green tea)! Not only does it make a good souvenir to buy, but it offers a unique way to experience Japanese flavors!

If you're looking for other unique souvenirs, why not take a look at the ones listed in the article below?
