Wazuka\'s Beautiful Tea Plantations

Since long ago, Wazuka has been a major producer of tea. It accounts for about 45% of the tea production in Kyoto Prefecture. The tea plantations that produce this huge amount of tea offer a picturesque view that blends beautifully with nature. It constantly changes depending on the season, time, and viewing angle, allowing you to experience many views while standing in one spot, not unlike a kaleidoscope. Access

The nearest station in Wazuka is JR Kamo Station. If you are going from Kyoto Station, ride the Miyakoji Rapid Service and then switch to the Yamatoji Rapid Service at JR Kizu Station. The trip will take you about 60 minutes. If you are coming from Osaka Station, you can get there in about 66 minutes if you use the Yamatoji Rapid Service.
