Yakiniku Ryuen

Fukushima, Fukushima

Delicious eye-catching food and a great place to bring the kids, with our well-stocked Kids' Space.

Japanese Black wagyu (Japanese beef): finely marbled, impossibly smooth, almost unbearable quality. Give it a quick grill on the grate to lock in the umami (savory) flavor, and once you dip it in our secret sauce, it becomes the perfect complement to beer or white rice. Limiting our use of chemical seasonings, our sauce-the pride of our head chef, unchanged since our opening-is truly the flavor of Yakiniku Ryuen, brought to life through the umami (savory flavor) of soy sauce, fruits, and vegetables. One aspect of our head chef Mr. Anzai's endeavor to provide excellent service is his attention to beautiful displays. By studying the art of vivid arrangements, our motto is to present dishes you can enjoy with your eyes as well. When your kids get tired of eating, let them play in our Kids' Space. Stocked full of cartoon DVDs and toys, the whole family is sure to be able to relax and have a great time.

Yakiniku Sawagi

Nagoya, Aichi

A 24-hour Japanese BBQ restaurant where you can enjoy fresh offal and domestic beef at reasonable prices, all restocked daily.

Located a five-minute walk from Shin-Sakae station on the Higashiyama line of the Nagoya city subway, 24-hour Japanese BBQ Yakiniku Sawagi is very close to the CBC TV station headquarters. You can enjoy a variety of quality meat, such as fresh offal and domestic beef, brought in daily and priced reasonably. In addition to the meat, we also offer quality service, with touches such as smokeless grills. Even so, we strive to be [the restaurant loved by locals] by keeping our prices extremely competitive. Our BBQ sauces bring out the umami (pleasant savory taste) of the meat, and are all made in house. Our dipping sauces range from one crafted specially for lean meat, to a miso sauce made with red miso from Nagoya. As we are very picky about our meat, cuts that we stock little of, such as our pork stomach [guts], are quick to sell out. It’s first come, first served, so be sure to check with the staff.

You can order our yakitori (grilled chicken) skewers a la carte, but our "Omakase Set Menu", featuring our chef's special selection, is also highly recommended. Our grilling technique is of course important, but we also pay special attention to timing when serving our skewers-we want our customers to enjoy the best chicken we can offer. Our restaurant is centered on counter seats, but table seating is also available.
