Additional Lessons to Be Held in May, Following The Success in April!

The "Hello Kitty Nerikiri Making Lesson" that started in April at ABC Cooking Studio has been recieving a quite positive response from the participants.
The lesson is a casual self-lesson using a tablet and takes about 1 hour. If you like Hello Kitty or interested in wagashi (traditional Japanese confectionery), this lesson should be a very fun activity to do. It is recommended for both children and adults!

Details

In the lesson, you learn how to make "nerikiri," one of the representative Japanese sweets said to be a work of edible art. Nerikiri imitates nature and its surroundings, and you can even use the most subtle of colors to express many things. In this lesson, you will learn how to make dough using rice flour called shiratama-ko and sugar. You will then use this dough to make 2 Hello Kitty and 2 apple nerikiri. The best thing is that you can follow the illustrated instructions on the tablet at your own pace.
You just have to bring yourself! At the end of the lesson, you may bring home 4 of your creations in an original Hello Kitty paper box.

Location Information

The lesson is conducted at ABC Cooking Studio, which is located on the 12th floor of Shinjuku Takashimaya Times Square. It is only a 2 minute walk from the south exit of Shinjuku Station, so it is really convenient if you want to do some shopping on the way. You should make your way here to try this unique experience if your travel schedule isn\'t already packed yet.

What Is ABC Cooking Studio?

ABC Cooking Studio, which has 125 studios within Japan, is a cooking school that allows its 280,000 members to enjoy learning how to cook or bake items like bread and cakes. It celebrated its 30th anniversary in November 2015. With its company philosophy, "bringing smiles to dining tables all around the world," ABC Cooking Studio and its counterpart for children, "abc kids" was developed. From April 2014, services were enhanced in order to welcome more male members.
