Known as the food capital of Japan, Osaka is a place filled with establishments that serve delicious dishes. Below are 10 yakiniku (Japanese barbecue) that you have to visit when you are in Osaka. All these joints offer all-you-can-eat courses, so you can enjoy yakiniku to your heart’s content.

1. Rikimaru Shinsaibashi Branch

Rikimaru is an all-you-can-eat yakiniku restaurant that is just a 3-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station. The meat that they serve here is so tender and juicy that you would not believe it’s all-you-can-eat. This restaurant does not serve frozen or processed meat, only meat that is sliced and prepared by its chefs.
There are as many as 110 items that you can order. You can choose between two all-you-can-eat courses – the 3,480 JPY (excl. tax) course that includes all the items in the menu or the 2,980 JPY (excl. tax) course that includes 82 items.
The time limit for the all-you-can-eat courses is 120 minutes. English and Chinese (simplified) menus are available. There are staff who can speak English and Chinese.









2. Tajima

Incredibly delicious yakiniku is served at this restaurant that’s run by a manager whose parents ran a butchery and yakiniku restaurant. Here, you’ll be able to taste quality meat, regardless of production area or brand.
The “mizu shichirin” (charcoal stove) that is set on every table has water at the bottom, so the stove produces steam from the heat of the charcoal. The meat becomes more plump as it absorbs the moisture from the steam.
You can order 50 items in the Premium All-You-Can-Eat (2,990 JPY (excl. tax)) course. There is also an all-you-can-eat plan (4,990 JPY (excl. tax)) that will upgrade the meat to Miyazaki beef that has an A4 rating, which is the highest possible grade of beef. All courses have a time limit of 120 minutes.

3. SEIJIRO

Seijiro is a restaurant in Kitashinchi that serves charcoal-grilled yakiniku. Customers love its special homemade sauces that will let you enjoy different flavors with the same meat cut, such as the flavorful miso sauce that uses generous amounts of fruits and the robust yakiniku sauce. Beef tongue is best enjoyed in a Japanese style with a squeeze of lemon juice, while lean meat tastes best dipped in soy sauce.
The all-you-can-eat course has a time limit of 120 minutes. You can choose from three types of courses, ranging from the course with a total of 15 items – including Japanese Black beef and offal (4,780 JPY (excl. tax)) – up to the course that will let you order 130 items, including premium beef and sashimi (9,000 JPY (excl. tax)). 4. KARUBIYA Umeda Branch *CLOSED

Karubiya is a restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat of premium Japanese Black beef. This restaurant uses Angus beef, which is characterized by its tender and juicy meat. The balance between the lean meat and fat is superb, so it is perfect for yakiniku. You can eat the meat with ponzu (soy sauce and citrus fruit sauce) combined with any of these: grated wasabi, grated plum, or grated mustard.
The all-you-can-eat courses at this restaurant have a time limit of 120 minutes. You can choose between the 70-item course (2,780 JPY (excl. tax)) and the 130-item course (3,480 JPY (excl. tax)).

5. Kurobekoya Hankyu Higashi-dori Branch

Kurobekoya is a restaurant that serves quality meat grilled over charcoal at reasonable prices.
Here, you can choose from three 120-minute all-you-can-eat courses:

1. Standard (2,980 JPY (excl. tax))
You can order from a total of 75 items like meat, salad, kimchi, and dessert.

2. Premium (3,980 JPY (excl. tax))
You can order 90 items, such as high quality meat.

3. Kiwami (Ultimate) (5,480 JPY (excl. tax))
This comes with 95 items, including exceptionally flavorful and sweet Japanese Black beef. English menus are available. There are staff who can speak English.









6. Umedameigetsukan Doyama Branch

Umedameigetsukan is a branch of a 50-year-old Korean barbecue chain that has three branches in Osaka. It serves authentic Seoul dishes.
The all-you-can-eat course will let you enjoy as much carefully-selected Japanese Black beef, homemade kimchi, side dishes like cold noodles, and drinks as you want. It can be ordered by a group of at least four people. It costs 6,000 JPY (incl. tax) and its time limit is 120 minutes. A reservation is required at least a day before visiting.
There are private and semi-private rooms in the restaurant, so you can relax while enjoying your food. English menus are available.









7. ZEN Abeno Main Branch

ZEN is a restaurant where you can enjoy Japanese Black beef with a grade of A4 or higher. This restaurant gets whole cattle delivered through their own route, so it is able to offer rare meat parts at reasonable prices.
You can select from two all-you-can-eat courses here – the 3,780 JPY (incl. tax) course and the higher 5,400 JPY (incl. tax) course. Both courses have a time limit of 90 minutes and will let you enjoy special Japanese Black beef, offal, and side dishes. Customers get to dine in private rooms with horigotatsu (sunken kotatsu) or table seating.

8. Arita Itachibori Branch

Arita is a restaurant where you can enjoy yakiniku, shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and other beef dishes. Here, you can taste its original domestic beef called “Protesun Beef”, which comes from cattle raised with feed that has been mixed with lactobacilli, resulting in smooth, refreshing fat. It is characterized by the deep, delicious, and robust flavor of its lean meat. This restaurant is also earning positive reviews for the fact that the offal it serves has a healthy color and has no foul smell. Make sure to try everything from standard cuts up to rare parts!
The restaurant uses custom-built iron plates to ensure that the delicious flavors of the meat do not escape. The all-you-can-eat course is priced at 4,960 JPY (incl. tax). The time limit is 120 minutes.









9. Ajibiru Kashin Main Branch

Kashin is a restaurant where you can dine on all-you-can-eat yakiniku, shabu-shabu, and sukiyaki. Inside, there are tables, as well as various sizes of private rooms, guaranteeing you a relaxing time. Each table or room is equipped with a smokeless roaster, so you can eat without having to worry about the smoke.
For the all-you-can-eat yakiniku, you can choose from the Kin 29 Course (2,280 JPY (excl. tax)) with about 80 items, the slightly luxurious Premium Course (2,980 JPY (excl. tax)) with about 90 items, and the Deluxe Course (3,480 JPY (excl. tax)) that will let you enjoy beef tongue and thickly-sliced beef fillet. 10. Aburiya Abeno Lucias Branch

Aburiya, which used to be a meat specialty shop, is a restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat freshly cut meat that you can order from your table. This restaurant uses domestic beef, carefully chosen by meat connoisseurs who go to the areas where the meat is bred. Even when it comes to vegetables, it purchases ones in season, paying particular attention to the time when they are most delicious and the place where they are grown.
The all-you-can-eat course is priced at 3,780 JPY (excl. tax). You can order yakiniku, offal, steak, and yaki-suki with lightly grilled meat and raw eggs. You can also fill up on other dishes like kimchi, namul (a Korean vegetable dish), and stone-grilled bibimbap.
