Sapporo's famous French restaurant "SIO" was re-branded in the spring of 2021. Mr. Shuji Hijikuro, who has been working as a chef at the restaurant since 2019, took over from the former owner and chef, Mr. Yosuke Sato. Mr. Hijikuro added his name to that of the restaurant, and he has been offering exquisite dishes that culminate his culinary career. The menu includes one set menu for lunch and two set menus for dinner. Chef Hijikuro devises creative cuisine inspired by the ingredients, purchasing freshly picked vegetables and delicious meat directly from a farm run by the former owner, Mr. Sato, in Nishi Ward. Many dishes are reinterpretations of southern French cuisine, Chef Hijikuro's specialty, and are a treasure trove of flavors and dramatic tastes that diners may be encountering for the first time. While offering dishes with a sense of uniqueness, the restaurant also has a warm and welcoming atmosphere that can be enjoyed naturally. The chef, a native of Hokkaido, brings the fresh flavor of seafood to life in our seafood chawanmushi. Please enjoy the seasonal flavours, such as sea urchin, that are used luxuriantly in its making. All of our ingredients are carefully selected based on factors such as the season and the area in which it is produced. An example would be the horse-meat sashimi. We only use fresh horse meat in our cooking. Enjoy its wonderful melt-in-your-mouth flavor! We serve the best food and drinks to meet our customers' various needs. Our deluxe country-style spaghetti is loaded with stir-fried vegetables, ham, sausage, and more. We're proud of our specially-made spicy sauce, which brings out the savory flavor of our vegetables. Enjoy spaghetti smothered in deliciousness. Our original sauce with savory vegetables and our stewed beef curries go perfectly when mixed in with spaghetti for an even more striking flavor. We've offered portions this big for many years, and our prices haven't changed. It goes without saying for the kudzu starch in our ankake sauce, but our Indian curry, tartar sauce, and dressings are all made by hand, too - that hasn't changed either. Our portion sizes are hearty enough to satisfy hungry male diners, and with our excellent location just five minutes from Nagoya Station, we're packed with businessmen at lunch time. Feel free to come alone - we recommend our counter seats for the solo diner.

Among our various set menus, [Half & Half Set with the Highest-Grade Tenderloin & Sirloin] is especially popular where you can enjoy two different cuts; red tenderloin meat with less fat, and perfectly-marbled juicy sirloin. [Set with Steak & Spiny Lobster (from Ishigaki-jima Island)] is also highly recommended. Some guests from far away have a one day trip to enjoy our Ishigaki Beefsteak. Also, enjoy carefully-selected wine which goes well with meat cuisine. It is a hot spot in Dotonbori where you can enjoy a new type of sweet: Bubble Waffles. Freshly baked waffles with impressive bubbly puffiness and plenty of toppings make for a cute-looking sweet that looks great on social media. Waffles are also available for takeout and change to a chewy texture over time, making them ideal accompaniments while walking or eating around. The “Heart Sundae,” which can be freely customized to your taste, and the “Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc,” in which the staff puts the cream in front of your eyes, are also excellent. Dates, friends, and families are welcome. It is a recommended spot in front of Namba Station for a casual stopover.
