Hokkaisushi to Robata Sushiyama Shinjuku

Shinjuku, Tokyo

Enjoy exquisite sushi and tempura in a relaxed, wood-framed space.

Sushiyama is a restaurant where you can enjoy fresh fish from Hokkaido with a different concept for lunch and dinner. With the motto of " a generous amount of Hokkaido seafood and seasonal Japanese ingredients in small portions," it offers omakase courses for dinner. After tasting the specialty Kaisen Chawanmushi (steamed egg custard with seafood), you will be served a piece of sushi, followed by a side dish, tempura, and sushi again, alternating between the two so that you can enjoy a variety of seasonal flavors. HOMMAGE

Asakusa/Ryogoku, Tokyo

A restaurant worth being called [Asakusa French] with its atmosphere and dishes full of ideas.

[HOMMAGE] won the stars in 2015 and has established a firm position as a leading French restaurant in Asakusa. Our dishes are different from ordinary French restaurants thanks to the original sense of the chef, Mr. Noboru Arai. For example, a dish of Japanese beef sirloin from Tochigi was created being inspired by sukiyaki (thin slices of beef cooked with vegetables in a table-pot), and the soup of tilefish, with the surface grilled in a pinecone pattern, was created being inspired by Japanese soup. You might misunderstand that his dishes are categorized into [creative cuisine], but they are created with his reliable techniques for traditional French cuisine, which is the biggest reason why our restaurant won the stars. At our restaurant, you can also enjoy the atmosphere of Asakusa with our Mino Ware plates on the table and the wife of the owner giving service in kimono.

Honmachi Saryo

Nagoya, Aichi

An old-style tea house with classic Japanese charm and a photo-worthy menu.

This tea house makes use of a 100-year-old kominka (old Japanese house) that's registered as a cultural property and has the perfect atmosphere to match the small castle town of Inuyama. Sitting in the Japanese modern tea house, guests will feel like they've slipped back in time as they enjoy Inuyama's famous dengaku (grilled miso skewers), as well as sweets such as zenzai (sweet red bean paste) and shaved ice (summer-only). The food is not only delicious but also visually appealing, with a cute appearance that makes one feel happy just to look at it. Apparently, there are even some customers who travel from far away just to take pictures for their social media accounts. The owner, Mr. Kuze's efforts to boost the local economy extends to the tea house's use of local specialty products, including tea from Inuyama and locally-made pottery. This is a cozy spot loved by both travelers and locals alike.
