Unagi-ka Shibafuku-ya, located approximately a six-minute walk from Kokusai Center Station on Nagoya Municipal Subway Sakuradori Line, is a restaurant renovated from an old Japanese house in a town filled with an Edo atmosphere. Inside, you will see a sophisticated space, applying a modern sense to a traditional Japanese building with old columns. As the name of the restaurant implies, their specialty is unagi (eel) cuisine. Also, enjoy the wide variety of side dishes that match perfectly with alcohol and unique unagi dishes such as Liver Ahijo, and Hitsumabushi (broiled and chopped eel on rice) with garlic pepper. Their innovative dishes go well not only with sake and shochu (Japanese alcohols) but also with wine.

We use free range chicken from Daizen, mild but packed with flavor. It is a popular dish finished with an aromatic garlic sauce. Our original salad dressing has garlic, onion, capers, carrots, lemon and anchovies, as used in our "Seafood salad with anchovy dressing." Because of its popularity it is available for sale for 700yen (220 cc). "There are a lot of affordable dishes and large portions, but what counts most is the pleasure you will feel from eating delicious food." Treasuring the saying "Ichigo Ichie" (meaning to treasure every meeting for it may never recur), we create every dish with each customer in mind. The stylish space with Italian colors of red and green has six tables, 30 seats. With a warm atmosphere, we recommend our restaurant for occasions such as casual dates.
