Yakiniku Izakaya Suika

Iwaki/Hamadori, Fukushima

The signature melt-in-your-mouth Hitachi Gyu Yakishabu, using thinly sliced quality meat, will surely delight your palate.

The meat is cut 2-3mm thick, so it can be enjoyed after a very quick turn over the fire. Yakishabu is the ideal preparation for experiencing the delicate flavor of the meat itself. Start out by giving it a light dip in sauce. We procure fine quality sirloin cuts of Hitachi Gyu beef with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The horse liver, a more palatable alternative to beef liver, is another very popular item as well as Mego garlic, which gets its mild odor thanks to a hydroponic growing technique. We provide first-time guests with hands-on instructions to initiate them in how to grill their meat to ensure it will be tasted in its ideal form. We also plan to offer a new menu every month. The roasters in the establishment produce very little smoke and odors, so ladies can enjoy yakiniku without worrying about their clothes picking up unwanted odors. The meat does not get burned easily, so excess fat can be cooked down for a healthier bite. It is a great place to visit for a date or girls' party.

Yakiniku MOCHIO -Exquisite Kobe beef-

Harajuku/Omotesando, Tokyo

A yakiniku restaurant that serves exquisite Kobe Beef. You can enjoy the full flavor of the finest Wagyu in sophisticated urban space.

Yakiniku MOCHIO is the sister restaurant owned by Mr. Tsukasa Kitano of malca, which became independent from TACUBO, a wood-fired Italian restaurant. Sourcing whole heads raised with care by top Kobe beef producers, the beef is shared between two restaurants, malca and MOCHIO. Mr. Kitano says, "buying a whole cow that you have fallen in love with on your visit to the ranch not only improves the quality and taste level of both restaurants but also broadens the menu by enabling the use of popular parts such as filet and sirloin, as well as all other parts from horumon (innards) to halami (skirt steak) while keeping the price low." Visitors can also enjoy Mr. Kitano's unique twist by adding Italian elements to appetizers, cold noodles, and other a la carte dishes. The highballs are made with whiskey that is barrel-aged in the restaurant, and the wine selection is excellent as well.

Yakiniku Sansuien East Entrance

Sendai, Miyagi

Sample the assorted platters of sweetbreads to ensure you only order what you like in our restaurant perfect for family, girls night out, or small gatherings.

In this dish, thickly-cut sweetbread is scored to preserve the distinctive flavor of the entrails and retained by lightly searing. The chef's expertise is clearly displayed in how he utilizes cutting techniques to influence texture. The yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) dipping sauce is a secret recipe handed down from the chef's grandmother. The intense sweetness of the dressing combines nicely with the meat. The kimchi (fermented vegetables) made by his mother is made from ordinary ingredients but has an exquisite spiciness which is delicious. Because the quality of the meat is paramount, patrons are encouraged to try samples of the assorted platters before ordering and to order only the meats that they like. The menu contains more assorted platter items than a la carte items. Come here with your family, for a girls' night out, or for small gatherings.
